Jim Sorace, an alumnus of the Class of 1984, has been a donor to Ramapo College since removing his commencement gown and mortar board.
Just like many students, Debra Perry '84 attended Ramapo College as a nontraditional student. As a mother of young children, she returned to school part time to complete her undergraduate degree. She joined a significant population of women at various stages of their lives that were returning to school.
Sofia Wojciechowski was born in 1917, the oldest of four children of Polish immigrants. Sofia grew up in Mahwah, N.J., and in 1945 she married Edward Dembia, who was also of Polish descent.
The Ramapo College community mourns the passing of beloved management professor Dr. Milton M. Gittens. A respected member of the Ramapo College faculty in the Anisfield School of Business, Dr. Gittens has created a legacy.

Originally from East Brunswick, N.J., Bryan Steros’ 98 became a matriculated student and dove head-first into the Ramapo experience. He recalled sitting in night classes during his first semester at Ramapo alongside several adult students. “They were motivated, they were serious, and I was awestruck by their sheer commitment,” he said. “What meant the most to me – in and out of the classroom – were the relationships I formed at Ramapo with my professors and, through clubs and activities, with members of the administration.”
